G1: John Regan and Ellen Gallagher

Martin O'Grady's wife was Katherine Regan. Her mother's maiden name was Gallagher ... need to research.
If she is from Cashelcolaun, that is in Castlemore parish:

Note: civil registration office for searches is Swineford for marriage cert, Castlerea for birth cert ... both for same town ... this reflects the townland moving to Roscommon.

This is their marriage, March 17, 1879:

This is Cashelcolaun/Castlecolane in Ballaghaderreen. Grandma Regan said she was from Mayo, but all the records are from Roscommon ... this is one of the townlands transferred from Mayo to Roscommon in late 1800s.

Catherine's birth cert, mother's maiden name mangled to Callaghan:

Catherine's sister Mary, born 1889:

1901 census:

This link for the image shows her as "Head of Family" ... has John died by this point?

1911 census:

Catherine has already left for US (marries Martin in 1910).

Ellis Island entry for Catherine in 1906:

Contact is "Cousin Mrs M(?) Regan. 52 Amity Street Brooklyn NY"

Ellen Regan dies 1932, her son John present (he later comes to US):
