From Wendy Deriancho, who is trying to piece together the story of Sarah/Celia Dempsey, born to Thomas Dempsey and Bridget Monaghan about 1855/1857 in Cloonreliagh.
Sarah marries Thomas Eagle in Philadelphia ? Thomas Eagle / Egal was a native American, working as as an army scout, and is accidentally killed by his own side.
They have a daughter, Sarah, born Philadelphia, but moves to Ireland with her mother.
Father Henry Eagle (Egal) dies young.
This is Henry and Sarah's son, Thomas, born 1887:

Sarah dies shortly thereafter, age 31, in the Castlerea workhouse:
This leaves her children Sarah and Thomas in quite a sad state. This is Sarah, age 7, begging for alms in Castlerea in 1894:
" ... to be delivered ??? industrial school ... "
Wendy also found out that the daughter Sarah started using Helen as a first name, and Thomas sometimes went by John Thomas. John Thomas, orphaned at age 1, was raised by the Franciscan Brothers in Ireland.
Sarah emigrates to the US in 1903 and stays with her aunt Margaret Dempsey (who married James Skelly). At some point she sends back to Ireland for her brother Thomas ... more to come.

Birth date is wrong, and mother's name is Mary, but there are not a lot of Eagles/Egals born in Ireland in that timeframe (exact count: 1).
